They’re Someone’s. Just Like You Are.

We’ve launched our new campaign, “They’re Someone’s…”, to highlight the real people behind the uniform and reinforce a zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour on our services.

Delivered in partnership with Scottish Borders Council and Police Scotland, the campaign reminds everyone that every driver and customer service advisor is someone’s parent, partner, grandparent or friend — and deserves to feel safe at work.

While anti-social behaviour across the Borders remains relatively low, even one incident of abuse is one too many. The campaign also challenges the myth that poor behaviour is linked to any single age group.

Five of our colleagues feature in the campaign — Ally, Hannah, Kevin, Stevie and Susan — sharing a glimpse of life beyond the uniform and the families and communities they are part of.

New national legislation coming into force in 2026 will also allow the temporary suspension of free bus travel for individuals who repeatedly engage in serious anti-social behaviour or misuse free travel.

The campaign will run across our buses, interchanges, community spaces and social media.

Respect our staff. Keep our community safe.
